What I use
A practical list of the hardware and software I use every day to design, write, and build web applications.
Hardware & Desk
- Machine: 13.3" MacBook Air (M1). Quiet, light, and gets the job done.
- Monitor: A single 27" 2K display. One screen is enough, Multi-monitor setups break my focus.
Editor & Terminal
- Editor: VS Code.
Cursor(they broke it in v3). Does the job, stays out of the way. - Theme: A custom dark, low contrast theme. Earthy colors that don't fight back after 8 hours.
- Font: Fira Code. Clean ligatures, readable numbers. Hard to go back once you try it.
- Terminal: iTerm2 running ZSH. Looks simple, does a lot. Everything I need is one shortcut away
Software & Daily carry
- Browser: Safari or Chrome, with separate profiles for Work, Personal, and Testing. Mixing them always ends badly.
- Brainstorming: Excalidraw. Every architectural decision starts here before touching code.
- Notes: Apple Notes. Because why not ? ツ (This is where the raw notes on the Notes page come from. )
