Mostly working on enterprise-scale frontend. The kind of codebase where every decision has a history and half that history is undocumented.
Coffee
Still chasing the perfect Moka pot ratio. Haven't found it yet. Probably never will. That's fine.
Music
I've been experimenting with music composition, mostly orchestral and film score stuff. I play piano on a computer keyboard. (Yes, exactly as weird as it sounds) Still a beginner, but building up layers of instruments and creating tension in a piece feels a lot like designing software architecture. Without the legacy CSS and the three-hour meetings.
Reading & Focus
Re-reading The Pragmatic Programmer and finding new things to be embarrassed about. Turns out "don't repeat yourself" from 1999 and "don't over-abstract" from 2024 are basically the same idea. Right now I'm trying to stop jumping to solutions before I fully understand the problem.
